Reflection 2: The Best Job in The World

This second video of 'The best job in the world' I made a reflection on myself to achieve my short term goal. Short term goal that I want to study in the field of online business. Where I will open a blog to promote my stuff. I made this video for inspiration to open my online business.

what should I have to know before open the this project:

1. Project conception and initiation
An idea for a project will be carefully examined to determine whether or not it benefits the organization. During this phase, a decision making team will identify if the project can realistically be completed.

2. Project definition and planning
A project plan, project charter and/or project scope may be put in writing, outlining the work to be performed. During this phase, a team should prioritize the project, calculate a budget and schedule, and determine what resources are needed.

3. Project launch or execution
Resources' tasks are distributed and teams are informed of responsibilities. This is a good time to bring up important project related information.

4. Project performance and control
Project managers will compare project status and progress to the actual plan, as resources perform the scheduled work. During this phase, project managers may need to adjust schedules or do what is necessary to keep the project on track.

5. Project close
After project tasks are completed and the client has approved the outcome, an evaluation is necessary to highlight project success and/or learn from project history.

Projects and project management processes vary from industry to industry; however, these are more traditional elements of a project. The overarching goal is typically to offer a product, change a process or to solve a problem in order to benefit the organization.

In online business I need to know the knowledge of business and learn:

How marketing / advertising
To make my online business requires a creative way marketing as in the above video where she sells online and also the mass media and make it a viral and can attract people.

Leadership Skills
I need leadership skills to manage labor in building a business enterprise. It is important to make a more systematic management of the company.

Communication Skills
Communication skill is important in the business world because we are dealing with people and also a variety of human behavior. From there, we need communication skills to deal with the customer.

Reflection 1 :The Power Of Honda

Assalamualaikum wbt,

This lesson related to the 'Reflection'. We need to have a positive reflection skills if you see a situation, the picture, or video. Where it relates to power one think, evaluate and learn from any source.

For example, for all I presented a video ad from Honda company that became one of the world's most expensive advertising. From the video you can see and whether there can reflection after seeing the video?

After seeing this video I can describe myself some reflection in which to succeed in doing something. My goal in the nearest future is to be able to raise my CGPA for this semester with a GPA of 3.5. To achieve this goal I should have characteristics like this

1.  Team Work

Teamwork is one of the keys in which to succeed in doing projects because it can attract a strong spirit of cooperation and make the company more proactive in ensuring the success of a project. As shown in the video is a lot of car components that join, unite, cooperate until becoming a very sophisticated car.

2. Good Communication

As we see in the video above each component with one another to perform their duties. From here we can describe it is that good communication can launch a job. It also can make their company's performance improved with this attitude. If no good communication between staff definitely not an organization that will run smoothly. As in the earlier video of one component does not move of course the next component will not receive any feedback and the car was not likely to happen. :) And to achieve my target in the near future I need to provide good communication between students and lecture for sure what I was doing was running smoothly.

3. Creativity

Creativity in creating a project is needed in making a product that is unique in attracting public tastes. as we see in the video creativity to create these ads is very valuable because it attracts the audience to look up to the end of the video and the latest cars can promote it. So for my final project for this semester I will create a project that creative to attract attention. And get good marks and recognition.

4. Responsibility

In the success of my target in the near future this responsibility is very important. Complete assignments given by the lecturer in a given time. As in this video certainly making this video was given more responsibility to prepare these videos in a given time.

5. Focus

In the video I realize just how high the focus video editor to make the video to make it the best video quality. As well as in the success of my goals in the near future. I need to add my focus in all subjects so that quality results for the end of this semester ended with the best result.

So the conclusion can be drawn from this for achieving the target 3.5gpa for this semester I need to do 5 things that teamwork in the performance of a work group discussions have good relationships between friends and also lecture so easy to deal with and reveal a cheerful atmosphere, has the power creative thinking in doing what matters and is responsible for implementing tasks and also focus in any situation that needs to be taken. If the focus of the affected then what created will not work or will not achieve the goal.

INTERPERSONAL AND DELIVERABLES SKILLS

1. Effective Communication

Effective communication skills are fundamental to success in many aspects of life.  Many jobs require strong communication skills and socially people with improved communication skills usually enjoy better interpersonal relationships with friends and family.
Effective communication is a key interpersonal skill and by learning how we can improve our communication has many benefits.

Thinking
You may not recognize thinking as being a communication skill, but having a clear idea of symbolic internal reality  you want to convey to another person or group of people is the beginning of effective communication. If you don’t have the idea straight in your own mind, don’t be surprised if others get a different idea from your communication than what you thought you intended to say.

Listening

Effective listening allows you to enter the reality of the other person and understand what their internal symbolic reality is. Only when you do this are you able to communicate effectively by understanding what they are sharing with you, even if it is very different from your personal perspective. You can’t truly communicate with someone else of you don’t understand their internal reality.

Speaking
The third communication skill that leads to effective communication is your selection of words and the voice tones that you use when you speak them. While this may the part that most people concentrate on, research has revealed that nonverbal communication has more impact than the actual words that you use. In fact, the nonverbal portion of the communication can actually change the meaning of the words that you say.

Nonverbal Communication
Nonverbal communication is the communication skill that usually receives little thought because it happens automatically. We actually learn to communicate non verbally at a very young age ( a baby crying) and are able to communicate quite effectively using only nonverbal communication. Here is more detailed information about nonverbal communication.

2. Interpersonal Skills

Leadership

They can be applied to any situation where you are required to take the lead, professionally, socially and at home in family settings. Ideally, leaders become leaders because they have credibility,As well as requiring strong Communication Skills and Personal Skills, leadership uses the Background skills of mentoring, decision making, delegation and motivating others.

Teamwork

Involves working with others in a group towards a common goal. This requires cooperating with others, being responsive to others' ideas, taking a collaborative approach to learning, and taking a responsibility for developing and achieving group goals. Teamwork uses the Background skills of collaboration, mentoring, decision making and delegation.

Networking

The ability to actively seek, identify and create effective contacts with others, and to maintain those contacts for mutual benefit. In addition to strong Communication Skills and Personal Skills, Networking uses the Background skills of network building and motivating others.

3. Time Management

The major themes arising from the literature on time management include the following:
- Creating an environment conducive to effectiveness
- Setting of priorities
- Carrying out activity around those priorities
- The related process of reduction of time spent on non-priorities
- Incentives to modify behavior to ensure compliance with time-related deadlines.

Time management has been considered to be a subset of different concepts such as:
- Project management. Time Management can be considered to be a project management subset and is more commonly known as project planning and project scheduling. Time Management has also been identified as one of the core functions identified in project management.[1]

- Attention management: Attention Management relates to the management of cognitive resources, and in particular the time that humans allocate their mind (and organize the minds of their employees) to conduct some activities.

Time Management Mistake

Mistake #1. Failing to Keep a To-Do List

The trick with using To-Do Lists   effectively lies in prioritizing the tasks on your list. Many people use an A – F coding system (A for high priority items, F for very low priorities). Alternatively, you can simplify this by using A through D, or by using numbers.

If you have large projects on your list, then, unless you're careful, the entries for these can be vague and ineffective. For instance, you may have written down "Start on budget proposal." But what does this entail? The lack of specifics here might cause you to procrastinate, or miss key steps. So make sure that you break large tasks or projects down into specific, actionable steps – then you won't overlook something important.

Mistake #2. Not Setting Personal Goals

Personal goal setting   is essential to managing your time well, because goals give you a destination and vision to work toward. When you know where you want to go, you can manage your priorities, time, and resources to get there. Goals also help you decide what's worth spending your time on, and what's just a distraction.

Mistake #3. Failing to Manage Distractions

Whether they come from emails, IM chats, colleagues in a crisis, or phone calls from clients, distractions prevent us from achieving flow  , which is the satisfying and seemingly effortless work that we do when we're 100 percent engaged in a task.

If you want to gain control of your day and do your best work, it's vital to know how to minimize distractions   and manage interruptions   effectively. For instance, turn off your IM chat when you need to focus, and let people know if they're distracting you too often. You should also learn how to improve your concentration  , even when you're faced with distractions.

Mistake #4. Not Taking Breaks

It's nice to think that you can work for 8-10 hours straight, especially when you're working to a deadline. But it's impossible for anyone to focus and produce really high-quality work without giving their brains some time to rest and recharge.

So, don't dismiss breaks as "wasting time." They provide valuable down-time, which will enable you to think creatively and work effectively.

If it's hard for you to stop working, then schedule breaks for yourself, or set an alarm as a reminder. Go for a quick walk, grab a cup of coffee, or just sit and meditate   at your desk. Try to take a five minute break every hour or two. And make sure that you give yourself ample time for lunch – you won't produce top quality work if you're hungry.

Mistake #5. Ineffectively Scheduling Tasks

Are you a morning person? Or do you find your energy picking up once the sun begins to set in the evening? All of us have different rhythms, that is, different times of day when we feel most productive and energetic.

You can make best use of your time by scheduling high-value work during your peak time, and low-energy work (like returning phone calls and checking email), during your "down" time. Our article, Is This a Morning Task?   will teach you how to do this.

4. Problem Solving

Problem solving is a multiple step process where the problem solver must find relationships between past experience and the current problem and then apply a solution.  In order to solve problems, learners have to want to do so, and they need to believe they can.  Motivation and attitude are important aspects of solving problems such as effort, confidence, anxiety, persistence, and knowledge about one's self.

Knowledge of context, facts, concepts, and principles in a specific domain, is one of the most important features in someone's ability to problem solve.  The biggest differences between an expert and a novice problem solver is their depth of knowledge, ability to understand the problem, and their confidence in their abilities.   A person can be an expert problem solver in one area but a novice in another.

Employability Skills

Employability logo

Employability skills are general skills that are needed to get most jobs, but they also help you to stay in a job and work your way to the top.
While there will always be some job-specific skills that an employer is looking for, most employers will also want you to have some general skills. Chances are you'll be asked questions about both job-specific skills and general employability skills in a job interview. .
Generally speaking, there are eight skills that employers want you to have whatever industry you’re working in.

1. Communication

You have to be a good talker and maybe also a good writer (depending on the job). You have to be confident about speaking to people face-to-face or over the phone, and you may also need to write well enough to be understood in emails and memos.

2. Teamwork

You have to be good at working with people. This means both your workmates and other people that come into contact with your organisation.

3. Problem Solving

You have to be able to find solutions when faced with difficulties or set-backs. Even if you can’t think of a solution straight away, you need to have a logical process for figuring things out.

4. Initiative and Enterprise

You need to be able to think about the bigger picture and the future of the organisation you’re working for. Employers will value your ability to think creatively and to make improvements to the way things are.

5. Planning and Organising

You need to be able to organise yourself, plan project timelines and meet deadlines.

6. Self-Management

You need to be able to get on with your work without someone having to check up on you every five minutes. You should also be able to stay on top of your own deadlines and be able to delegate tasks to make sure things get done on time.

7. Learning

You should want to learn new things and be able to pick them up quickly. There are likely to be some changes to your job and to the structure of your workplace while you are working there. You should be able to take on new tasks and to meet the needs of a changing workplace.

8. Technology

Most jobs these days require you to use some form of technology.  You'll need to know how to use a computer and how to touch-type for most office jobs, but there are other types of technology that you might need to be familiar with depending on the industry you work in.
